Where can we view your samples?
Our showroom is mobile. Give Paul a call and arrangements will be made for us to visit you. At your leisure, you can look through the samples and see how they look in the light on your own home. Situated on the Gold Coast, we will travel down to Tweed Heads and up to Brisbane.
If we have bought our own laminate, or engineered board, will you install it for us?
Of course, we will. We will come around, measure and quote for installing your floor. Our friendly floor installers will also offer advice on your needs such as scotia or metal trims. You may need to buy these from your original supplier, or even ourselves.
What is laminate flooring?
Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer. In other words, a great looking, modern wood look floor.
What is a floating floor and can it be laid in an apartment block?
Firstly, a modern floor system which we can install over a 2 mm foam underlay. Secondly, if your apartment has to meet body corporate standards, do not worry. We can use a special acoustic underlay for extra noise reduction.
Do you do free estimates?
We always provide a free, no obligation estimate before we do any work. Therefore, giving you the power to find out the cost before you are ready to do the work.
Can I install the floor over vinyl or tiles?
Floating floors are great, because we can float them straight over the top. If your existing floor is uneven, as you had part tile and part carpet, let us know and we’ll talk you through the options available.
I have carpets, do you lift these as part of your service?
Yes, we’ll do this for an extra cost. We can arrange to dispose f the carpets too thus less hassle for you.
Do I have to have beading around the edge of the floor where my kitchen is, or is there a better option?
On most occasions, the answer is yes. But we can undercut some kitchens depending upon the style. If we can undercut, we slide the laminate boards underneath, leaving a clean and professional finish. Therefore, no need for beading.
On the other hand, these days, we have a large variety of beading colours which also leave a great finish. Finally, sometimes a flexible sealant can be used. I would need to discuss further with you, and possibly view the site in order to confirm which option would be best for you.
